Sisterhood ii by Anna Ilsley

Introducing our latest Artist Showcase – Host by Suffolk-based painter Anna Ilsley. In this undulating body of work, Ilsley sets the stage for the swelling, heaving and expansive interior worlds of women and their relationships between each other; capturing the steady glow of self-possession that comes with age. We’ve long admired Anna Ilsley’s fertile canvases, all of which draw upon ancient myth, medieval and renaissance art as well as contemporary experience, interrogating how women’s bodies are controlled, revered and feared.

Host will be exhibited in our showroom from October, and all artworks are available to purchase exclusively through our website.
